Yulai Xie received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees (supervised by Prof.Dan Feng) in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He has also been a visiting scholar in University of  California, Santa Cruz in 2010 supervised by Prof.Darrell Long  and a visiting researcher in Chinese University of Hong Kong supervised by Patrick P. C. Lee in 2015. He joined HUST as an assistant professor since November, 2015. He is currently leading the  provenance-aware storage applications and systems research group in Data Storage  and Application Lab, HUST. His current research interests include provenance-aware data storage, distributed file  systems, big data and cloud storage. He publishes several papers in major journals and  conferences  including IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, ACM Transactions on Storage, FGCS, IEEE MSST, ACM CIKM, etc.
